So far i know many fx trader use it.There are no conflict to change the value either 9 EMA or 21 EMA with MACD.

It'll be more risk free trade after cross a candle to the 9-21 EMA cross and wait for any kind of reversal candle and then wait for a proper full body candle according to the 9-21 EMA cross trend.
